Vanilla is a species of climbing plant that produces one of the most aromatic and expensive spices in the world. It only grows naturally in Central and South America as it requires specific species of bees and hummingbirds for pollination. It was only the discovery of the possibility of manual pollination that began its widespread cultivation in the tropical zone of Africa and Asia. Our extract comes from crops in Uganda, where women called "swatkas" manually pollinate vanilla flowers at the right time. It is a unique product, much like a Cuban cigar in the hand of a connoisseur.

Vanilla extracts contain numerous volatile compounds, such as vanillin and coumarin, as well as esters and vanillic acid, which give them their distinctive aroma. In addition to their undeniable aromatic properties, vanilla extracts also have antioxidant properties that protect against free radicals. Furthermore, the active ingredients in vanilla extracts, vanillin and vanillic acid, are being investigated for their potential analgesic, antidepressant, and neuroprotective effects.

We offer water, glycerin-water, and glycol-water extracts.
