The oak tree surpasses all other trees in our forests in hardness, strength, and longevity. Due to its vitality of up to 2,000 years and the magnificence of its crown, this tree embodies strength, and an oak leaf wreath signifies fame and victory. The oak tree, which supported the sky, played an important role in Slavic mythology and was worshipped by our ancestors until the Middle Ages. In Roman beliefs, the enormous oak tree, with its branches reaching to the sky and its roots in the world of the dead, played an important role in myths about the creation of the world and the beginnings of humans. All oaks are characterized by a thick trunk covered with strong, cracked bark. In the past, "tannin" was obtained from it, a component used to tan leather. Today, oak bark is a well-known and valued herbal and cosmetic ingredient.
