Birches, with their characteristic white bark, cannot be confused with any other tree. They do not require special conditions for vegetation and can create small groves on sandy soil. Birch wood is perfect for fuel and carpentry products. Birch leaves, which have a triangular shape when young, are coated with resin, giving the tree a pleasant scent. The ancient Slavs believed that birch protected against evil spirits, spells, and curses. Birch twigs were used in spring rituals to ensure the fertility of people and animals, while the ancient Romans considered it a symbol of power.
In the case of birch, the raw materials for extraction are the bark and leaves. Birch leaf extracts are characterized by a high content of flavonoids, mainly quercetin and its derivatives. Among other ingredients, vitamins, coumarins, tannins, mineral components (mainly potassium), and small amounts of essential oil can be found. Birch leaf extracts have weak anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, and diuretic properties. When applied to the skin, they mainly exhibit soothing and toning effects.
We offer water, water-glycerin, and water-glycol extracts.
